You get this error while installing SQL Server 2008 R2 on Windows Server 2008 R2:
Sql server setup has encountered the following error Cannot execute a program.
This is because Windows Firewall is turned on. Turn firewall off to and re-run setup.
1. Go to "All Programs > Administrative Tools" and select "Windows Firewall with Advanced Security".
2. Here you will find a link "Windows Firewall Properties"
3. In "Firewall state" drop down, select "Off" and click OK.
