Google unleashing its new product: Gemini

The Next Big Swing

Conversational AI models have gotten a nod from the public since the day ChatGPT came out. Tech giants like Google were covetous and taken aback. As a counter strategy, most of them were adamant to unleash something incredible that would turn the crowd’s attention towards them. But it seems like Google is worried the most, since its search business is impacted by OpenAI's ChatGPT. Few months ago, it released its AI powered chatbot known as Bard. To outperform and win the game against its competitor, it is working on a much larger AI project known as Gemini AI by integrating machine learning technology. In the midst of this stiff competition, users are excited to experience the new Generative AI model. So, let’s see what's forthcoming for them.

Delving into the details

It is reported by unofficial sources that the former employees of DeepMind and Google Brain are fully hooked up for a new project, Gemini. The tentative date of its release is October, 2023. The research lab team of Google has stated that their new large language model is currently under its development stage, but it will outdo the GPT 4 model through AlphaGo's capabilities that will make it adept at problem solving and strategic planning. The company has spent hundreds of millions on Gemini and it is said to replace its previous PaLM 2 AI model.

What sets it apart?

There are several limitations and challenges that current models are facing which will be addressed by Gemini through Reinforcement Learning. This will allow systems to learn from its own interaction and perform functions according to specific situations. The Gemini model will also be able to generate contextual images and will also offer many other unique features. The aim of the company is to create a multifunctional product by combining AI image generation and text capabilities. In the future, it might also help you to analyze and interpret flow charts and assist in controlling software through your voice. Software engineers who want to use Gemini will have to pay for access via the Google Cloud server rental unit. In order to answer users’ questions, this model will identify patterns by analyzing text and images. Gemini will also be trained upon YouTube video transcripts while sticking to ethical boundaries, making sure that there are no encroachments of copyrighted data.

Conclusion

In short, the race for dominance is getting tough. Gemini's potential is huge, customers and investors are anticipating that it will surely blow out ChatGPT as soon as it will make entry into the market. However, its official launch will reveal whether it will revolutionize the industry through its capabilities or not.
